The TREKKER portable space heater is based on technology designed for the U.S. Army, and has been field tested in military setting and mining camps globally. The TREKKER is the smallest heater in ITR’s PIONEER line of non-powered commercial diesel-fired space heaters, with output adjustable from 4,000 BTU to 12,000 BTU. Weighing a mere 20 pounds, the TREKKER is gravity fed and does not require electricity or any other source of power.

Like all ITR non-powered heaters, the TREKKER uses a patented vaporizing burner technology that eliminates smoke and smell while increasing safety by preventing fuel pooling. The TREKKER’s other safety features include automatic shut-off in the event of tilts or high temperatures, as well as an outer heat shield to prevent accidental contact with the heater.

The TREKKER will consume roughly one U.S. gallon of fuel in 16 hours on low-heat setting, or one U.S. gallon in 8 hours on high-heat settings. It can effectively heat over 500 cubic feet of space.

The TREKKER comes with a cleaning auger, primer rod and draft regulator. Exhaust stacks, rain caps and external fuel lines are available in various configurations as accessories.

The TREKKER, like all PIONEER Heaters, is approved to CSA/UL standards.
