An expanded version of the HURRICANE H2, the HURRICANE H2L is meant for vessels up to 70 feet long and provides 50,000 True Output BTU.
The HURRICANE H2L can be paired with an ITR distribution module, or plumbed through the coil of a separate water heater or heat exchanger, to produce on-demand potable hot water. Burner output is augmented by two 1500 watt electric elements (available in 120 or 240 VAC) that provides a supplemental 10,000 BTU when shore power is available. The HURRICANE H2L has a beefy 8.5 US gallon coolant tank made from marine-grade stainless steel, and as with all HURRICANE heaters, features a tough marine grade stainless steel exterior. The HURRICANE H2L provides space heating for five separate thermostatically controlled zones.
Optional features include the ability to incorporate engine waste heat into the system to improve efficiency, and an engine pre-heat option to avoid cold starts of a marine craft’s engine(s).
The ITRTouch™ remote control interface is an available option with the HURRICANE H2L, providing an intuitive means of operating and diagnosing the system.
The HURRICANE H2L is built on a low-pressure burner platform: a patented technology that offers a safe, quiet, “no-smoke, no-smell,” diesel burner that improves efficiency while lowering system maintenance cycles.
